Which World did You See?

On Saturday, we got up and ready to head out to Sea World.  It was a short drive from the hotel and we were there.  It had been a long time since any of us had been to Sea World and we were told to go in with lower expectations that the Sea World at Orlando or San Diego.  Parking was not really an issue even though it seemed like there was an event going on.  The ticket line was probably the longest line we stood in all day and then we were off.  We started off at the beluga whale show, which was pretty neat.  We walked around the park a lot- working off all those BBQ calories from the night before.  By the end of the day, we went to 3 shows-the beluga show, the sea lion show (my favorite!), and the Shamu show, which was not nearly as cool as it used to be.  We saw penguins (my dad's favorite), dolphins (my mom's favorite), seals, otters, sharks, and flamingos.  We also rode one of the park's roller coasters, which I had not done in many years.  We lunched in the park, but it wasn't anything special.  By late afternoon, we were all getting pretty tired, so we headed back to the hotel before dinner.  For dinner, we already had decided on a place on the Riverwalk called Casa Rio.  It is the oldest restaurant on the Riverwalk.  We did have a bit of a wait and as no surprise to me, my parents met people from St. Louis and Illinois while we were waiting.  We ordered our food and drinks-yay for sangria margaritas!  My chicken enchiladas were pretty good and my margarita was fabulous.  My parents were tired after dinner so they went back to the hotel, while we decided to explore the Riverwalk a little bit more.  We went to the mall, which was okay, but the cool part was that the river flowed through the mall.  We bought my mom a birthday present and then headed back to the hotel.  It was a great weekend and I can't wait to go back to San Antonio for more exploring.
