Hoody Hoo?
This past Saturday, we woke up in the mood for sandwiches. We turned to our trusty app, Yelp, for some nearby suggestions for a new place. Yelp recommended Hoody's Sub Shop in Round Rock and told us that they were famous for their East Coast Subs. So, we got ready and loaded up for the short trip to Round Rock. We passed Hoody's on the first try as it was hidden in a strip mall. We arrived and realized it was pretty tiny. It was really cute with various sports memorabilia on the walls, much of it signed by athletes. The menu was pretty simple, but did offer several choices. Mike opted for the philly cheesesteak and I ordered the chicken cheesesteak. We each got chips, sodas, and Tasty Kakes as well. The sandwiches were delicious. They had great flavor and were so gooey. The Tasty Kakes were also something new to us. Apparently, they are an East Coast treat. I tried butterscotch and Mike got the chocolate cupcake. Mine were actually a little bit better. We agreed they tasted like really fresh Little Debbie treats. We left Hoody's satisfied and full. We will be making a return trip for sure.
