Flem-boyant

Last Tuesday was our second wedding anniversary, so we felt that it was necessary to go out for a celebration.  We opted not to do our old favorite of the Melting Pot and we weren't able to go to Wild Horse Grill, so we tried Flemings in the Domain.  We arrived and were very impressed by the atmosphere- it was very chic and romantic.  The hostess informed us that the restaurant was full of people celebrating their anniversaries on that night.  The entire staff was very polite and prompt with service.  We started off with a bottle of Loosen Brothers Riesling along with bread and caesar salads.  The wine was perfect-not too sweet or too dry.  It was also from the year we got married, which I thought was pretty neat.  The salads were good and the bread was amazing.  In addition to its great flavor, it came with delicious flavored butters.  We each ordered filets and we split sides of Fleming's potatoes and macaroni and cheese.  The filets were tender, moist and perfectly cooked.  I loved the Flemings potatoes, which were a potato au gratin with jalapenos.  The mac and cheese had a great chipotle flavor.  Since it was a special occasion, we had to have dessert.  We ordered the Chocolate Lava Cake, which was served with ice cream.  It was rich and fabulous.  To top the meal off, Flemings gave us chocolate truffles and a gift card to return.  We had a great dinner, which we followed with a stroll in the Domain.  It was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary.
