Saturday was a much needed day off work and we celebrated by heading out to lunch. One of my favorite foods is the sandwich and one of Mike's favorites foods is pizza, so he found a place that combines the two. We went to Blue Baker. It was really cutely designed and decorated with everything being in various shades of blue. They had a great menu with various sandwiches, pizzas, and baked goods to choose from. While we were waiting to order, we sampled some delicious pumpkin bread and peanut butter cookies. Mike ordered the three meat pizza and I got the Powder Blue sandwich. Mike's pizza was yummy with sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. My sandwich had turkey, provolone, spinach, onions, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and mustard. Everything we ate was tasty and very fresh. We were very happy with our meals. We each also ordered a cookie as well. My peanut butter cookie was so moist and tender. Mike's chocolate cookie was pretty great as well. Our food was delicious and is obviously becoming a popular spot in Austin, as it was quite crowded the day we went. I can't wait to go back and try more of the various baked items.
