This Friday was kind of a lazy day. My husband had to work from 1 am to 5 am, so then he had the rest of the day off to spend with Cecil and me. By the end of the day, I was ready to leave the house, so we opted for dinner and a movie. While normally, I try to avoid chains and too many repeats, I have a favorite here in Austin. Its called Freebird and it is near Target. Freebird is a customized burrito place. This week, I was really wanting some nachos so I tried them and was totally satisfied. My nachos included chicken, black beans, queso, grilled veggies, pico, salsa, sour cream and guacamole. My husband had one of the delicious steak burritos. I love that they have 4 different burrito sizes and 4 different flavor tortillas. In addition to nachos and burritos, they have quesadillas, tacos, salads, and burrito bowls. Everything here is so good, that I can't wait to try all the different menu items. The food here is fresh and customized, which I find to be way better than typical burrito chains. This will definitely be on my tours to my guests in Austin.
